After years and years of visits and vacations in Florida,
we decided that Punta Gorda was the place for us. In seven years,
our love for the area has only increased.
Eileen
was born in Springfield, Mass. She had many occupations including
her own ceramic studio as she raised two boys and a girl. In 1982,
she found herself in Sea Bright, NJ, her children were grown and a friend
asked her to join her Real Estate Agency. Eileen was a natural.
In no time she was the top sales associate. She won fur coats and
trips to various cities, including Maui, Hawaii.
Eileen attended classes to become
a Real Estate Broker and graduated from the Real Estate Institute which
allows her to use "GRI" after her name. Eileen managed two agencies
and in 1992 she started her own agency in Sea Bright, NJ. Unfortunately,
Sea Bright was hit by a Nor'easterner in December 1992. Four feet
of water returning for seven tides did her in. A large Real Estate
company in Rumson, NJ was delighted to have her join them.
In no time she was the top producer in that office of 40 agents.
Now she works with her husband, Alex, at Century 21 Almar & Associates,
Punta Gorda, Florida.
Alex was born in Philadelphia, Pa.
He spent his life in the toy business, first as a buyer for Strawbridge
& Clothier, Gimble's Pittsburgh, and Goldblatt's in Chicago.
He joined Topper Toys in 1964 and soon became their National Sales Manager.
In 1971 Alex started his own manufacturing company, with offices in Hong
Kong and New York City, named Janex Limited and Janex Corporation.
By 1976 his volume was over $12,000,000. That's at least $40,000,000
in today's dollars. He sold the company in 1988 and became, what
else, a "Consultant". When he met Eileen in 1992, she was keeping
crazy Realtor hours. Alex said, "if you can't beat them, join
them." By 1995 he had worked his way into the Real Estate Million
Dollar Club and was #5 in that company of 40 agents.
Eileen and Alex were married in August
of 1996. They bought their 26' Bayliner for the Honeymoon and named
it "Honeymoon". They cruised for 18 days from New Jersey to Newport,
Rhode Island-----after all that time, close quarters, and togetherness,
they returned happy. Their families consist of
seven children, 25 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. This
large group keeps them hopping and that is why they are so successful.
They live in Punta Gorda Isles in a three bedroom, two bath home with a
pool and their boat is out back.
We've been successful in Real Estate
because we listen to our customers and help them find the property
they want. Second, we've been successful because we really care about
people and will go to all ends to assist them. We make looking, buying
and selling a very pleasant experience.
